Erik and Christine’s wedding was my last wedding of 2012, and I couldn’t have asked to wrap up my year with a better crowd! I already knew I’d love working with Erik and Christine, after having a great time with them for their engagement session the year before. What I didn’t know was how amazing their friends and family were. I started my day off at Christine’s parents house. Everyone was incredibly helpful, and I was surprised to find all of the little details (rings, jewelry, shoes, etc.) laid out for me in their upstairs loft that was flooded with natural light. They even had her dress beautifully hung from the ceiling. I feel like everyone went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and had everything I needed, which was so very sweet.
When the girls were finished getting ready we went to Headhouse Square for Erik and Christine’s first look. I work with natural light whenever possible, and them doing a first look and formals before their ceremony made that possible for me. On top of it all, they set a fair amount of time aside for photos, so we weren’t stuck trying to cram everything into cocktail hour. We were able to get a ton of great shots!
Everyone made my job so very easy- especially since Erik, Christine and the entire bridal party were up for any ideas I had. My second shooter, Jena, was with me for this wedding. She helped with so many things, and captured a beautiful second perspective on Erik and Christine’s big day. You’ll be seeing even more of Jena this year!
After their gorgeous candlelight ceremony, we made our way to Tendenza, which is where their reception was held. I was completely blown away by this venue! Great light, perfect table settings, amazing food, and an insanely courteous staff. It was a perfect evening! Erik and Christine surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance. Video credit goes to Delia Studios. I can’t say enough about my experience working with Jose, though I know his work speaks for itself.
I’m so humbled to have been a part of Erik & Christine’s big day, and feel so lucky to have been introduced to their amazing families. Here are some of my favorites from their wedding!
