Laura and I have been friends since we were 11 years old & it blows my mind that I am sitting here today blogging about her wedding that I am so very thankful to have been a part of. The 11 year old girl obsessed with the Spice Girls and platform shoes is now a married woman who still loves the Spice Girls and her platform shoes. To me, not much about Laura has changed over the years. We still act like idiots and I don’t think we’re capable of being serious around each other. Under all the goofiness, inside jokes and crazy voices is a friendship I know I can always count on. Although I don’t see Laura as much as I’d like since she lives in Pittsburgh now, I always look forward to spending hours catching up when she’s home for a visit. I’m sure most old friends catch up over a glass of wine at a restaurant, or grab coffee somewhere, but we always meet at her parent’s house. I love seeing Laura’s family as much as I love seeing her. They’ve always been far more than just ‘Laura’s Mom and Dad’ in my mind and I am so grateful for what they have done for me.
Enough with the sappiness though, right?
There are a ton of things I want to say about this wedding, but you’re probably here because you want to look at pictures so I’ll keep it short. Louie & Laura’s wedding was nothing short of perfect. Being able to shoot it with one of my best friends & watching another dear friend marry a man that I know will always respect and love her was pretty awesome. Equally as awesome? 17 people with alcohol in hand being given golf carts to drive around in for photos, but thats just my opinion.
Thank you, Louie making my friend so happy and loving her like she deserves. Congratulations you two!
