Gavin {Thorndale Newborn Photographer}

I was wondering if people were still having boys since all of my newborn sessions recently have been with girls and 90% of my clients that are expecting are having girls as well. Needless to say, I was super excited when Christy contacted me letting me know she was due with her second boy the following week.

I literally could have walked to their place from mine if I didn’t have to haul all the stuff I bring along to newborn sessions. Talk about convenient! When I got there I was greeted by Jeff and their HUGE boxer, Cane. Why does the dog matter?

A) I love dogs                                                                                                                                                                   B) Because I have a boxer, and he is my third child…fourth if you allow me to count my husband as a kid (which you should).

I knew that Christy and I had some mutual friends, but Jeff also looked super familiar. Turns out he is the banquet manager at the Downingtown Country Club and I recognized him from a wedding I had shot there last summer.  Both Jeff and Christy were so easy to be around and made me feel beyond welcome in their home.

Gavin was probably the easiest newborn I’ve worked with! He nursed when I got there and slept for a majority of the session. Boys tend to be a bit easier for me. As long as they are kept warm and have a full belly they are (usually) happy. Girls can be very finicky and a bit more of a challenge. We tried for some shots of big brother Cameron with Gavin. Cameron wanted no part of it, but I managed to get a few pictures when he wasn’t looking.

Yet again, I left wondering how I get so lucky with my clients… Jeff and Christy were so easy to talk to, and I felt like I had spent the afternoon with friends, not working. I’m looking forward to working with them again!

Enjoy some previews!

    Pretty much still true when we grow up, eh? I had a good chuckle over that!

    Beautiful, beautiful work as usual, Jess!
